I judged an English competition and spent the weekend living it up in Bangkok!

Getting an early start on the weekend, I got to the school at 4:45am. I set off with a few other teachers and about a dozen students to a regional English competition! I was a judge for Impromptu Speech, and got to see a few other students perform as well. It was a fun excursion with the school, and an opportunity provided directly through teaching English in Thailand.

Then, the crew went separate ways and I took a bus from Rangsit to Bangkok. I had used credit card points to score a lavish hotel room in Bangkok, with a balcony overlooking the city. It was gorgeous! I spent most of Saturday at the rooftop pool, then found some Mexican food, and later explored Bangkok nightlife all by myself.

Going to a night club solo is not something I so often. However, I happened upon a woman who had the same tattoo I do, and we instantly hit it off. I made some friends and had a fantastic night dancing!

On Sunday, I visited Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the biggest markets in Bangkok! I found some postcards for my Patrons, then went right to the bus station to head back to Nakhonnayok, where I live and teach until October.
