Boeing WC-135W Constant Phoenix , RAF Mildenhall UK

Filmed at RAF Mildenhall, UK, on 28th of April 2022: the very rare WC-135W "Constant Phoenix" did a local training mission as "Jake 21", when on TDY here. It is seen taxiing for departure and doing some touch & goes upon returning after the mission, and finally closeby taxiing footage !

The purpose of the aircraft is to collect samples from the atmosphere for analysis in relation to nuclear radiation ("Nuke Sniffer"). Aircraft with serial 61-2667 is currently the sole Constant Phoenix aircraft still in operation. (converted C-135B to WC-135B to WC-135W)
The Constant Phoenix is due to be replaced with the KC-135R platform, the type featured in the beginning of the video.

Particallary interesting for aviation enthousiasts, is that the a/c is still powered by its original Pratt & Whitney TF33 engines, which is the military version of the JTD3. The engines are quite noisy and ressemble operations with the civil Boeing B707s in that early jet age era ! Pump up the volume !

Homebase is Offutt AFB, Nebraska, USA, with the 55th Wing.
