Exceptional visit of a 224th Flight Unit Ilyushin IL-76MD. It positioned from Luxemburg to Ostend. Windy weather , again, at our coastal airport, so unfortunately wind noise is present.

Once a very common sight at our airport, classic IL-76s are now something of the past, except for this day ! I was able to capture the distinctive sound upon shutdown and spooldown of the Soloviev D-30KP engines.
