Canoe Creek, Burrinjuck Nature Reserve- NSW

Canoe Creek Waterfalls, Burrinjuck Nature Reserve 100 kms NW of Canberra flows into the Murrumbidgee River a couple of kms downstream from the Burrinjuck Dam which was the first major dam built for irrigation in NSW when construction began in 1907. The catchment area is larger than the catchment area of the whole of the snowy mountains in NSW. Canoe Creek like other creeks in the area are short & flows are governed by immediate rainfall so it's most spectacular after a major dumping of rain. This walk by the Canberra Bushwalking Club was led by Linda Groom.
