Ettrema Gorge always outstanding, never disappoints. This 2 day hike to the upper Ettrema Gorge just below the confluence of Bullfrog Creek & Ettrema Creek to a magnificent campsite with large deep pools & waterfall. Afternoon spent walking up an unnamed creek upstream to some outstanding waterfalls, earlier this year I had walked along the Ettrema tops to this very creek upstream & found some magical hidden gems. The 2nd day one of the longest but most rewarding day hiking that I have ever experienced walking down Ettrema Creek rock hopping to avoid the deep pools & some wading, then Sentry Box Canyon I had heard of it's beauty but it's a fantastic place with wonderful colours then our exit via Myall Creek was unbeliable as we hug the cliff face to negotiate some exposed areas around this large waterfall with a large ddep pool some accounts call it "the pool of impending doom". Have lunch in an equally impressive waterfall & spend the rest of the day trying to exit before the forecast thunderstorm hits us.
