Get the small stuff right, and it will be easier with the big stuff.

Tennis ball activations to help develop your hand-eye coordination and peripheral vision. If you can catch two tennis balls at once, you can catch a rugby ball.

One of the side-lessons in this exercise, is understanding how much power/weight/force is required to shift the ball/object to intended area. It's important, as not every pass you catch will be in your catching window, so you need be able to make the right corrections and adjustments to your pass in order to turn an average pass into a good pass. Just because you got a bad pass, doesn't mean you have to give an average pass to the next person.
