IRISH ROVERS in IRELAND Ulster Unused clips # 2

THE IRISH ROVERS in IRELAND's last unused clips include the songs The Barleycorn and Travelling Man. Also included are the Seven Towers Dancers performing on a spit backed by a fiddler, and a group of young Irish dancers at the foot of Blarney Castle. These are the FINAL clips from a private collection of the Irish Rovers programs. The first location clips were posted back on ST40TV two years ago in May 2011, although the very first Rovers item posted was Part 1 of 2 interviews with Will & Jimmy for the CBC series "Then & Now" in March 2011. All the shows with Will Millar, Jimmy Ferguson, George Millar, Joe Millar, Wilcil McDowell (and occasionally Bob O'Donovan) were taped by CBC Vancouver crews for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation network. From their very first studio show on April 5 1971, the Rovers were vastly popular with Canadian audiences, and that continued till a final show in1994. There were several series for CBC and for Global TV, and many Specials as well. Hopefully, we'll find more Rovers shows in the future.
