Lynne McNamara interviewed jazz musician Fraser MacPherson (1928-1993) for THEN & NOW He excelled on tenor sax, alto sax, clarinet and flute. A veteran of the Vancouver nightclub scene and a much sought after studio musician, Fraser's success with his 1973 recording Live at the Planetarium led to a contract with Concord Jazz. He won a Juno Award for Best Jazz Album in 1983 and was made a member of the Order of Canada in 1987.
