Throughout History, there have been many executions that occurred inside of the Tower of London. But there was one man who was tortured to death inside of the infamous Tudor prison. Nicholas Owen is now considered a saint, and he was the finest builder of priest holes in England. His work saved the lives of many, as he would build these hiding spots for the people who were being persecuted. But eventually Nicholas Owen was arrested and he was then sent to the Tower of London for his torture.

Inside of the Tower, Nicholas Owen was placed on the rack the horrific stretching torture device which was used upon prisoners such as Guy Fawkes. Owen had a hernia, and as his body was put under immense strain this burst and he is one of a very few number of people that died inside of the Tower due to their torture.
