DBT Skills: Mindfulness and Radical Acceptance

Acceptance is an important part of mindfulness based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and "radical acceptance" is one of the distress tolerance skills in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Accepting your unpleasant experiences reduces your suffering. Learn the difference between acceptance and resignation, and how accepting distressing thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and situations and take away some of their power and make them more manageable.
