The charity gala is about demonstrating solidarity with Ukraine. It aims to raise funds for the rebuilding of the country and bring the issue to the public's attention. The donations will be used to set up community centers for traumatized children in the cities of Kherson, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia, which have been severely damaged by the war. It is one of the important projects of the aid organization #WeAreAllUkrainians, which works hand in hand with the Ukrainian partner organization Save Ukraine.

The major charity event is organized by the Harald Christ Foundation for Democracy and Diversity, which since 2020 has been committed to supporting socially disadvantaged families and children, strengthening diversity, and promoting artistic and cultural work. The patron of the gala is the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen. Co-patron is the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Kai Wegner. The artists waived their usual fees for this good cause.
