Unrecognized Countries in Africa (Part 2)

Welcome to Part 2 of Unrecognized Countries in Africa.

There are 195 countries worldwide, Africa, the second largest continent accounts for 54 countries which are recognized by the United Nations. The consequences of colonialism continue to affect the political life of the African continent because since Declarations of independence started rolling in from 1920, there are countries that have received limited or no international recognition.

This list provides entries of unrecognized or partially recognized states or governments that wished or continue to wish to be recognized as sovereign states, but did not enjoy worldwide diplomatic recognition.

Some of the entries might include nations that you or your government consider as recognized countries or omit the ones that you do.
