Harvesting Senegal's Pink Salt : World's Saltiest Lake?

What is Senegal if not the land of remarkable diversity? To the many wonders of Senegal, this could be arguably the most outstanding. Mother nature has mixed things up here by adding not only a complex biological cocktail but a dash of flamboyant pink in the mix.

It is unlike the unremarkable stories of most unremarkable lakes because what sets it apart is its incredibly high salt content, that would have salt bae grinning with envy. Separated from the Atlantic by a narrow dune, the shallow lake is so densely laden with salt that, as in the Dead Sea, swimmers easily float around like feathers.
