Important: Exercise extreme caution when unpacking your new E blinds. Care must be taken when using knives or scissors as any cuts to the fabric or cord are not covered by warranty.
You will need: Tape measure, step ladder, pencil, screw drill
List of components:
Mounting brackets quantity 2 (Qty will vary depending on Blind Width)
Child safety device quantity 1. Standard corded roman
Child safety device quantity 1. Optional chain lift system only
Screws (for timber installation only)
Outside mount Bracket Installation
Step 1: Measure your head rail width
Step 2: End bracket should be approximately 5cm from each end of the headrail. Space any remaining brackets if applicable evenly across the headrail no more than 50cm apart
Step 3: Hold the bracket in position and mark the holes for the screws through the Back of the bracket with a pencil Note: Leave at least 2 mm space above the top of bracket to allow for spring movement – The Top of the bracket should be set to the height from where your original measurement was taken.
Step 4: Using your pencil marks as a guide, start by predrilling the holes to avoid splitting the timber
Step 5: Hold the bracket in place and secure to the surface with the screws provided. For plaster, brick, steel or aluminium surfaces contact your local hardware store for the correct fittings

To install the headrail please follow the following steps
Step 1: Slip the lower lip of the chain drive unit under the movable spring clip of the wall bracket
Step 2 With a push up and tilt forward motion, manoeuvre the chain drive unit so the top lip of the chain drive unit clips over the fixed clip of the wall bracket
Be sure the blind is secured into each bracket before operating the blind
Recess fitting and inside mount Bracket Installation (not Available)
As the operating controls can only be accessed from the rear of the blind, Inside Mount Roman Blinds are not recommended as the blind will definitely become damaged through use over time. Therefore, inside mount Roman Blinds are unavailable through eBlinds Australia.
Raise blind slowly
Don’t pull your roman blind up too fast as the fabric won’t fold evenly causing creasing and at worst friction burns in the lining. Also don’t forget when raising the blind to pull the cord away from the blind. DO NOT pull towards the blinds as this can cause unnecessary damage to your blind
Operating the Chain Drive Mechanism
Pull downward on the rear chain to raise the blind
Pull downward on the front chain to lower the blind
Child Safety Device installation
Warning- Young children have died by wrapping loose curtain and blind cords or chains around their necks.
Secure chains with Child Safety Device supplied
Move cots and furniture away from window covering cords or chains
To avoid creating a possible strangulation hazard for children, this corded internal window covering must be installed in such a way that a loose chain cannot form a loop of 220MM or longer at a height of less than 1600mm above floor level
If the end of the chain loop is above 1.6 meters from floor level a Child Safety Device is not required
If the end of the chain loop is below 1.6 meters from floor level a Child Safety Device is required
Child safety device correctly installed
Installing the Child Safety Device
Step 1
- Locate the base of the chain loop
Step 2
- Open the Child Safety Device
Step 3
- Place the Child Safety Device over the chain
Step 4
- Swivel the Child Safety Device closed and back to its original position
Step 5
- Tighten the chain by pulling the Child Safety Device and chain downward NOTE: Don’t pull too tightly. Allow enough slack to allow for chain to still move freely
Step 6
- Screw Child Safety Device into wall, Architrave or window frame.
Note: The Child Safety Device can be screwed onto the wall from 3 entry points left, middle and right
