EPW - Gaberel & Dufour, a Geneve, quarter-hour repeater with concealed plunger (pull out and rotate 90 degrees to plunge), 40mm, 14K gold or better (tested, exhibiting slow fade of 18K solution on stone, no fade of 14K solution) OF original case with beautiful engraving detail, signed and engraved gold cuvette bearing attributes, silver dial with engraved center, KWKS (key not included with this lot), cylinder escapement, 10J, gilt mvt, s#1197 within cuvette. Gross weight of assembled watch 29.9 dwt (46.4 g).

CONDITION: Mvt: Running, good repeat function aside from sometimes loosing power so that strikes slow down and struggle, good tone aside from an occasional "tinny" note, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, scattered fine to micro-fine scratches to plates and visible portion of barrel, grouping of tiny pinpoint nicks to lower plate between center wheel and balance cock, oxide to balance jewel disk, visible portions of train wheels are tarnished; dial with scattered fine surface scratches, darkened perimeter; excellent hands; case shows light wear, subtle compression type dent to rear center, few subtle dings along rear shoulder, reduced engraving detail with some small areas of full loss around shoulder; tight bow, push shows little wear; good glass crystal.
