A: How do you like the book so far? I’m already on chapter three.

B: It’s good. I like it. I’m already almost halfway through. I do wish it was a bit smaller though, so it would be easier to carry around.

A: I was actually thinking the same thing the other day, but then I realized (that) that would have made it that much thicker.

B: I don’t really mind thick books.

A: That’s exactly what I told myself. But then I imagined myself keeping the book open for long periods of time. I don’t know about you, but I tend to spend at least a couple of hours at a time with books like this and I would hate having to constantly wrestle with it to keep it open. You know what I mean, right? Those books that have really tight and stiff bindings.

B: Oh yeah. They can be a real pain to read. Literally. Why don’t they make books using spiral binding?

A: I don’t know. I’m guessing it has something to do with design. For example, it couldn’t have the title on the side.
(they couldn’t print the title on the side)

B: Oh! That’s right! / You’re right! That could(might) actually be a pretty big reason. Oh! I got it! Split it into 3 or 4 smaller books.

A: Kind of like what we did back in high school?

B: Exactly.
