According to Healthline dietician Rachel Link, wheatgrass contains vitamins A, C and E, as well as other vitamins and minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium and 17 different varieties of amino acids. Out of the 17 amino acids, 8 are considered essential nutrients. "Essential" here means that your body cannot produce these on its own, so the only way to get them is to incorporate foods containing them into your diet.
