The Gaza Strip: 41km long and 10km wide, is bordered by the Mediterranean Sea, Israel and Egypt. It is ruled today by the militant Islamist group Hamas. When Hamas took over in Gaza, both Israel and Egypt imposed a blockade on the territory. It is home to 1.9 million people. Some say the Gaza Strip is the largest prison in the world. Mark Riedemann interviews Sister Bridget Tighe, a member of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Divine Motherhood (FMDM) and General Director of Caritas Jerusalem.
