Can you retrain your brain? A Physical Therapist explains.
Your vestibular occular reflex allows your eyes to stay focused on a target or object while you turn your head side to side. This is an important reflex to give our brain an idea of where we are in space. Without this reflex it would be almost impossible to walk down the street and read street signs or recognize faces. If someone has a weakness in their vestibular system then this exercise can be used to help strengthen it.
Try it for yourself at home and see if you start to feel any symptoms of vertigo or imbalance!
