Stretching your Big Toe
Patients that have plantar fasciitis tend to have certain common findings during their evaluation. One of the ones we see a lot of the time is decreased range of motion of the big toe.
As we push off for when running and walking our big toe needs to extend. Lack of toe flexibility leads to a loss in the stability and decreased shock absorption of the plantar fascia and can lead to pain.
Here is a way to work on improving the range of motion in this area.
