CRHnews - Storm Bronagh rips off massive branch
MASSIVE branch was brought down by Storm Bronagh from a towering tree on leafy Beehive Lane, Chelmsford, in the early hours of Friday, September 21, 2018.
The branch avoided the road and the adjacent pathway by inches, falling 'just right' onto the wide grassy sward.
Nobody heard it fall - as one neighbour remarked: "We never heard a thing, good job it came down in the early hours when most were asleep."
The gash made by the falling branch on the trunk appeared to indicate it was suffering some kind of disease and an adjoining branch which could have similar problems can be seen right above a car parked on near the driveway of the nearest home.
