Kanchanjungha Express enters the Sahibganj Loop enroute Guwahati

WDM2 powered 5657 Sealdah-Guwahati Kanchanjungha Express leaves the Howrah-Asansol Main Live and moves into the Sahibganj Loop after Khana, 2 stations after Bardhaman. The Sahibganj Loop was a single line section between Bardhaman and Sainthia till 2000. However, the up line undertakes a long curve to meet the down line so loop line trains do not hinder the momentum of faster trains on the Howrah-Asansol Main Line while switching tracks. I was lucky here to get two more trains in the video: first, traveling in our direction is the recently created 3051 Howrah-Siuri Hool Express and the one traveling away from us is the 3014 Malda Town Howrah Intercity Express. Sorry that my camera does not zoom all that well so could not close up on Intercity.
