Konark Express Meets KJM WDP4 with Udyan Express on the Western Ghats at Sunset

Kazipet 'Baldie' WDM3A, aided by 3 WAG7s at the back, hauls the 11019 Mumbai CST Bhubaneshwar Konark Express through the Bhor ghats between Karjat and Lonavala at sunset. Being March, the ghats are bereft of much vegetation but the rocky hills, above 2000 feet in height at this point offer some stunning views of the terrain. The Indian winter has also dried up the waterfalls and one can only observe their paths of progress down the rocks at places. As we flit in and out of tunnels, and through the Western Ghats, we encounter the Krishnarajapuram (ex Hubli) WDP4 hauled 16530 Bangalore Mumbai CST Udyan Express, merrily descending through the ghats!
