The journey of “Yuchen 2”, EP30

After the check out hassle in Didim, we went through the same hassle in Kos. It was a short sail from Turkey to Kos so we arrived at noon, in the old harbour where we paid some learning fee in manoeuvring the boat backwards in sidewind (only fair to say we ended up alongside the quay).
Kos is a nice relaxed town with some interesting history. As we had a weather window to jump across the infamous windy Dodecanese and Cyclades islands, we left early for a smooth crossing to Astipalaia where we anchored for a couple a days in strong northerly winds.
A nice sail took us to Ios. Pretty and relaxed but it gets hectic when the ferries arrive, not only in new tourists arriving but the massive swell in the small port jostling the boats all over the place.
