The journey of "Yuchen 2", EP56 The Atlantic crossing Part 1

As the weather prediction wasn't good for reaching or staying in the Cape Verdian islands, we decided to jump right across the Atlantic aiming to get to Antigua. The first days were quite an adjustment to the rolling seas but the winds were generously ranging between 10 and 25 knots north easterly and this the whole crossing. Thanks Poseidon!
Our 40 year old boat, creaking and moaning but dancing like a young girl on her first night out, hardly got her deck wet. She moved with elegance and our Hydrovane 'Julian' kept her on course the major part of the journey. Moving around the boat became like running a gauntlet to get safe and unbruised from bow to stern.
