Beaverkill Covered Bridge - Livingston Manor, NY - September 22, 2023

When I was camping at Onteora Scout Reservation one of the highlights was a hike over to this covered bridge, one of several vintage spans in the area. It was a long and sometimes hot hike, but what a joy it was to jump into the stream under the bridge.

I was just back in NY to revisit Onteora and took a drive over to the bridge. I recently bought a DJI Mavic 3 drone and used it to get some video of the bridge and stream. As the video will clearly show I am a novice at using the drone so don't expect much in the way of exciting or daring shots! This was my first time flying it over water - something the manual warns you to be careful about - so I was very cautious. I had thought about flying it under the bridge but I also decided against getting it too close to a fisherman, so perhaps on my next visit...
