I've Owned My Tudor Pelagos FXD MN For 10 Months Now But It's Been A Rough Journey

Tudor released the Pelagos FXD Marine Nationale 25707B which was the result of the partnership with the Marine Nationale that began in 2021. In a world where there is so much love for military Rolex Submariners, Omega Seamasters, and Tudor Snowflakes, the excitement was palpable. As a Pelagos 42 owner I was very interested in what this new Pelagos was going to be like. When I wore it for the first time I was amazed by the unique FXD (fixed) bars that made fore a sculptural case unlike anything else. But even still, getting one would be a huge risk for me because I was a full on bracelet guy and single piece straps just don’t work for my wrist.

Despite the risk, I simply couldn’t keep the Pelagos FXD MN out of my mind even after the releases of the FXD US Navy and the FXD GMT. Fast forward to 2024, I came across a great deal and I finally bought the FXD MN. However, as soon as I got it, a major issue came up that nearly made me sell the watch immediately.

So in this video I’m going to concentrate on why I bought this watch as a 7.5 year Pelagos 42 owner and why I chose the blue dial FXD MN over the other variants, being a black dial guy. Finally I’ll talk about why it's been a roller coaster of emotions, during which I’ll talk about my two loves and essentially only one hate about my FXD MN. That’ll of course include how a $9 strap from amazon single handedly saved this watch. Zero exaggeration, if I didnt find this strap I would have sold this watch within a week.
