"Space Magic" (Demon) by Serponge [All Coins] | Geometry Dash 2.11

Finally another level by Serponge, and this one reminds me quite a bit of Glacial - his 3rd most recent level. That's because it's based around a few colors, and because it has a city theme. I'd say this level executes it way better though, It has much more detail, and it has a "story" as well. it truly feels like you're entering a city then leaving it; you start outside, fight a guardian, pass through a pipeway to enter the city, and finally leave after you've avoided the monsters at 1:23. Personally, I'd like to see the boss return later on, perhaps in an infected state after the monsters appeared, but I heard from Serponge that this will be a level series, and that I'll see him again then. For now, this is a really good introduction to the series, and I'm hyped for more!

- OVERALL COIN RATING -
Gold. 3/4. The coins are of varying quality, but they are all hard to get and find. One of the coins is way more original, and the others could have used some of that. Still, Gold is a very good rating.
- 1st coin: Silver. I was quite unsure whether I wanted to rate this Silver or Gold, but I ended up on Silver. That's mostly because it's not that interesting, and also because of some unclarity. In the first ship part, but only until 0:05, you can only click 3 times. At 0:07, the coin is then unlocked. Below this, you can see a small number, and it says "0". It starts at -3, and if it goes above 0, you don't get the coin. Naturally, it's quite hard to figure this out, as all you see is a random number. I found it quite confusing to see "7", even though I clicked like 10 times. This number acts as a clue, but it's hard to get what it means. In the end it all made sense, but it could have been made more clear in my opinion. It's also hard to know where the clicks count. Getting the coin makes the following few seconds tighter than normal. In the end, just clicking less is not that cool of a coin, which is why I ended up on Silver. But it's close to being a Gold. This coin could have been more clear and original.
- 2nd coin: Viprin Certified. This is definitely the best coin I've seen by Serponge, and it's actually quite simple. During the spider part, which begins at 0:37, you usually use the lights on the bottom and top to tell you when to click. If you touch that platform above the normal route - right before the saws - you'll start the coin path. This basically turns off all the lights, so you have to keep going in the "dark", which makes it much harder to tell when you have to change gravity. When you're watching this video, it might not look that bad, but it's actually quite hard to time when you have to click with all those saws rotating around and no pointers. You'll see if you play it yourself. I find this coin incredibly unique, since it's something that I've never seen done before. The gameplay of this part was already quite unique as you have to go up and down perfectly where the lights end, and turning off these is a brilliant idea. It's both hard to figure out and to get. The coin is found at 0:48, and if you don't do the coin route, you can see a question mark here. This acts as a hint, so it's possible to figure it out.
- 3rd coin: Gold. This is the perfect example of a coin that isn't unique in itself, but it's still a very good coin. It all begins at 1:07, where you have to go between the saws and fly into the building on the right. Here, you click a black orb, and touch a pressure plate below. (Pressure plates have been done before, but they're still cool.) You then use a dash orb to return to the normal route, and you have to click instantly once you get up. You can now go down at 1:13, and after activating a trigger orb, you can go down at 1:20, where you'll ultimately find the coin. Some of the paths I just mentioned require faster or more precise timing, so it's harder than the normal route. It's also hard to figure out where you have to go for everything, and how he integrated the coin routes into the level is really good. To get Viprin Certified, it would just need to be more original. All of the things done in this coin route have been seen before, while the 2nd coin did something I've never seen before. It turned off some visuals and changed how you play the whole part.
