Moodle Quizzes can be a bit daunting at the start. There is quite a lot to take in so I have tried to stage this so that we can move through a basic introduction to 3 quiz types and move up to more and more quiz types and also understand more and more about the way quizzes are organised in Moodle and how you can re-use them and also edit them and format them.

In this first video, I go through 3 quiz types and I try to build up your basic understand of how the quizzes are organised. I show you how to test a quiz works, edit a quiz, add marks, delete quizzes etc. I also touch on some of the basic settings like putting quizzes into categories, organising pages, setting start and end times for doing the quiz and also limiting the amount of time to actually complete the quiz. All these are basic settings that are really useful to know about when working with quizzes and will help you to be able to immediately set Moodle quizzes for your students to do. The focus in this first video is on using Moodle Quizzes for formative assessment but includes a range of quiz types and ways of working with them.
