Sneeze Test on a 3D Printed Protective Facemask | COVID-19 | SIMULIA PowerFLOW of Dassault Systemes

In an effort to support hospitals that are lacking the essential protective equipment, our engineers at SIMULIA used our PowerFLOW software to evaluate the effectiveness of 3D printed masks. Simulation suggests that both masks and shields are needed for protection, as face shields protect people from large particle droplets and masks protect people from small droplets in the air. SIMULIA will be working with sister brands within Dassault Systems to print effective face masks and provide them to doctors and nurses at hospitals local to the Massachusetts area at this time. Our aim is to ensure front line workers are protected during the height of the COVID-19.
