Sneezing Simulation based on the Sars-Cov-2 Situation in 2020 ∇ OpenFOAM®

A new investigation of Tobias Holzmann. Inspired by the latest Lagrangian simulations popped out everywhere in the web based on the Corona panedmia in 2020, the need to investigate into the DPMFoam was given. The size distribution of the droplets was extracted from the publication from Han et al. The velocity at the mouth was assumed from different papers (still too high) and modeled via a coded boundary condition. In addition, arbitrary fluctuations were added to the velocity components while keeping the magnitude conserved (a full description will appear on the website https://Holzmann-cfd.com). The simulation was performed without a backward coupling to the carrier phase.

This simulation does not prove the distance, nor it is of real scientific interest. However, this case should be more realistic than many other sneezing simulations published nowadays. The main intention was to investigate into the DPMFoam and building a new community tutorial.
