How to Print on Mylar Bags with Heat Transfers | DigitalHeat FX

The DigitalHeat FX systems can customize a range of items like t-shirts, tote bags, hats, and much more. But did you know you can customize Mylar bags? In fact, there are 3 different ways you can using a DigitalHeat FX white toner printer.

Here is one way to use any of the DigitalHeat FX printers and heat transfers to decorate Mylar bags for your shop.

1. Adjust your settings in Print Optimizer Software and load your artwork
2. Place the "A" sheet into the tray of your DigitalHeat FX printer and print
3. Perform the marrying step by heat applying the "B" sheet to the "A" sheet of your Forever Transfer Paper. Top with a finishing sheet! Press times may vary.

4. When the time is up, remove the finishing sheet and slowly peel the adhesive “B” sheet from the “A” sheet.

5. Trim your transfers to the size you need for the Mylar bags.
6. With the Mylar bags on the heat press, line up the trimmed transfers onto each bag and carefully place a finishing sheet on top and press.

7. Let the bags cool completely and roll the transfers off slowly.
8. If you are looking for a more "matte" look for the bags, you can put them back in the heat press for a quick finishing press.

Now you have custom Mylar bags that can be used to store or display tons of different items like candy, coffee grounds, herbs, spices, and much more!
