Printing Custom 4th of July Shirts | DTG G4

Direct-to-Garment printing is one of my favorite ways to decorate fully custom shirts super quickly.

One of the most popular ways to customize shirts is with transfer printing. This includes white toner transfers, DTF transfers and sublimation transfers.

But with DTG printing you remove this extra transfer step and just get to print directly onto the shirt. This ink also has a really great hand feel and stretch.

The DTG G4 has taken traditional direct-to-garment printing and turned it into a revolutionary printing process with modern technology.

Features Of The DTG G4:
- Touchscreen control panel
- Onboard print memory
- Vacuum Platen
- Kodacolor Inks
- Reduced maintenance
- Increased print speed

In this video project, we are making custom his and her shirts for 4th of July. His and Her shirts are a great selling opportunity because instead of just selling one shirt, you are set up to sell two and double your profits.

The art used on these custom shirts is actually FREE! Free for you to use, download, sell and do whatever you want with!

We put both these designs on blend style shirts. One is a blend tank and the other is the District DTG Tri Tee. I love these shirts because they are already pre-treated.
So you save time and money by not having to pre-treat them.

DTG printing looks and washes best on 100% cotton t-shirts. But some users also enjoy printing on blends and polyester, even though it doesn't look as vibrant.
Curious what the best blank apparel is for DTG printing? In this video we go through the top 5 t-shirts that DTG printers like to use: https://youtu.be/Wm7u2-m69mg

Here are the steps to DTG Print one the DTG Tri Tees:

1. Press the shirt to release any moisture and wrinkles. Then, lay the shirt on the vacuum platen and pull it into place.

2. Send your design over to the DTG G4. It will pop up on the control panel and be saved into the printers memory.

3. Next, the printer will print a white layer, and then the color ontop. This will make it really pop!

4. The ink is still wet when it finishes printing. It needs to be pressed to dry the ink and cure it. So you will put it on the platen of the GeoKnight and press it for 45 seconds.
