Qld opposition leader criticises Palaszczuk for 'complete incompetence' over pandemic
Queensland Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington has again taken aim at the Palaszczuk government after it was revealed $7 billion worth of taxpayer funded COVID response measures are going unassessed.
Ms Frecklington told Sky News host Peta Credlin on Wednesday night the government lacked the stead required when it came to handling the pandemic.
“Just another example of the Labor government here flying completely blind through the biggest economic crisis Queensland has ever faced,” she said.
“How can a government know where their taxpayers' money is going if they’re not tracking it. It’s just a blatant example of complete incompetence from the Palaszczuk government here.”
Polling indicated, however, Annastacia Palaszczuk remained popular among state residents over her hard borders and management of the crisis.
Queenslanders will head to the polls on October 31.
