Pool cover removal (by myself)
I still have yet to post last year's pool-opening videos. Will update links here once I upload them.
Opening the pool ahead of Memorial Day! Last year, I uncovered a murky green swamp... It was quite the adventure discovering the contours of the bottom with the vacuum. Was barely able to find the jets to remove the winterizing plugs. Not having a main drain was also a big surprise.
Anyways, the process is simple.
1) clean the cover and surrounding area with a leaf blower.
2) start detaching the cover from the anchors, starting at a long end.
3) go from side to side, detaching one anchor from each side at a time.
4) roll the cover onto itself as you go along.
5) spread the cover and leave out to dry.
6) neatly fold the dry cover and stow away.
