I'm a Bad Excavator Operator But I"m Living My Best Life Splitting Firewood

When you've got the right tools for the job, the job gets done easier (usually). Although my tools are not always the most cutting-edge or shiny, they get the job done. I'm breaking out the rusty iron today in the form of my year-unknown Takeuchi TB15 mini excavator fitted with my DIY thumb to help hold up firewood logs as I cut them to length. I'm hoping this method of holding up firewood logs is easier on my body and easier on my chainsaw as I attempt to forego ditch digging with the chainsaw. Almost like a cherry-on-top, my Eastonmade Ultra Wood Splitter is setup and ready to make quick work of the firewood rounds en route to some freshly split firewood inside the IBC cages. Anytime I get a chance to use this wood splitter is a treat as the ease-of-use and ergonomics are something that makes wood splitting really enjoyable and oddly-satisfying to watch. Anyways, I better get back to it, this wood pile isn't going to split itself. Glad you're all here for the ride today, here we go!
