The Pink Box Initiative founder Alicia Magaka shares update during CV-19

The Pink Box Initiative is helping to tackle #periodpoverty and empower vulnerable young women in #Tanzania and #Rwanda. They have supported over 2,500 people to date through their #entrepreneurship training and educational awareness sessions, covering issues such as menstrual hygiene, sexual abuse and reproductive health.

Last year, QCT provided an emergency grant which enabled The Pink Box Initiative to implement an outreach programme during CV-19. This saw 398 women and girls receive reusable sanitary pads and food parcels, as well as health adivce and information on how to report sexual abuse.
