With his photo documentary series, Uncontaminated Sound, Robert Lundberg captures comedians, musicians, fine artists of all mediums, and actors in their truest form behind the scenes. This “Fly on the wall” approach has captured the little moments that the world rarely sees of performers before or after engaging with their audiences; bringing a special glimpse into the world. Lundberg differs from a lot of current day music photographers as he likes to capture the artists in their truest form. Now introducing “Uncontaminated Sound: The Interviews”, he sits down to speak with artists about their creative paths.
Interview 001: Mike Cannon introduction
It is Dec 09th, 2019 a rainy afternoon on the Lower East Side, I sit waiting for the comedian Mike Cannon to arrive at the venue Arlene’s Grocery, he’s kindly agreed to sit down for a unscripted conversation that touches upon craft, family, sports, and more. A month earlier, I captured Mike for a few stills prior to his special at Comedy Cellar Village Underground for my on going series Uncontaminated Sound. Presented here is a raw uncut look into the mind of not only a comedian on the rise, but also a newly minted father, and dedicated craftsman.
