Conversation 007: Fine artist Christopher E Manning

Visual Artist and New York State native Christopher E Manning and I immediately connected, visual art being both our passions. Christopher was taking lunch, he was working remotely, as Exhibitions Manager at Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, times were indeed strange. He sat in his North Salem, NY studio, a grid of Polaroids behind him, a pleasant demeanor placed in front of the screen.

For years Christopher has been honing is craft, working with a variety of mixed mediums, learned techniques, found objects, old books, magazines, and particularly self made Polaroids. He has exhibited nationally and internationally, needless to say he’s accomplished a lot.

We talk process, art, and the culmination of his hard work, his first published monograph of Polaroids : “Everything, As Perfect As It Seems” published by AINT-BAD out now.
