Robberg Nature Reserve: Point Circuit Hike + Seal Dive | Plettenberg Bay (2026)

Robberg Nature Reserve is a CapeNature-managed coastal reserve on the Garden Route near Plettenberg Bay, with a network of circular trails and dramatic viewpoints over the Robberg Peninsula.

Point Circuit (22 Jan 2026): the longest loop in the reserve at 9.2 km with an estimated 4 hours—a coastal hike that takes you along ridgelines, dunes and boardwalk sections with frequent ocean views and the chance to see the resident seal colony area from above.

Seal swim/dive (20 Jan 2026): operators run guided trips by boat to the Cape fur seal colony at the Robberg Peninsula; typical experiences are around ~1.5 hours total, with roughly 20–30 minutes in the water (conditions/weather dependent).

Robberg is also adjacent to the Robberg Marine Protected Area, established in 1998, helping protect this coastline and its marine life.
