In St Lucia, South Africa, hippos are known to wander into town to graze on the grass, especially in the evening. It may be a regular occurrence here, but seeing such massive wild animals walking the streets still feels surreal.

This video shows a longer look at the moment, including the response as security vehicles helped guide them away. Calm as they may seem, hippos are among Africa’s most dangerous wild animals and should never be approached.
