Though it’s technically dubbed a beach tent, we’ve found many uses for our Easthills Outdoor Coastview Ultra Beach Tent and Sun Shade. The Coastview Ultra tent packs down to a manageable size, shades you from the sun with its protective UPF 50+, and allows for ample airflow from large windows keeping you as cool as possible on even the hottest of days. The Coastview Ultra tent sets up in minutes so you can spend as much time as possible enjoying the outdoors.

We personally think that the Coastview Ultra is the perfect size for a beach campout, shade spot in the desert, or basecamp for our dog Hank when we’re at work and have little shade. The size of the Coastview Ultra, when set up, is 103” wide by 55” deep and 53” high. While an average height adult can’t stand up in the Coastview tent, it is easy enough to kneel in. It’s not so short that you feel you have to crawl everywhere, just not tall enough to stand fully in.

When the Coastview Ultra tent packs down, it is only 36" x 7" x 7” and weighs in right at 8 pounds. Personally, I was blown away when I unboxed the Coastview Ultra tent to realize just how light and relatively compact it is. I felt like at first this would be something that I wouldn’t want to take with me on sunny adventures but boy was I wrong. This is not an ultra light-backpacking tent but it is certainly not unreasonable to pack on a day adventure.

The 3 large windows are key for staying cool in the heat and they do a really nice job of still letting air pass through the tent. Given the option to close the windows also helps for a bit more privacy or ultimate shade protection.

The setup is by far one of the most notable features to us and really unlike anything we’ve seen. It is so fast and easy and takes only a few quick minutes to have fully assembled. All you have to do after all pole latches are in place is essentially grab one tab and pull and the tent expands in front of your eyes. It's even quicker when you're packing the tent up. 

The interior pockets are nice to keep your gear organized and visible. We also really like how the floor extends beyond the tent portion because it allows you to be fully sprawled out while being on the tent floor.

We have been using this when we’re out with the van just as a basecamp shade source and it’s perfect to leave setup at camp all the time. It’s nice to have a little bit of shade no matter what since we do not have an awning installed on the side of the van. One thing we’re really excited about is when we have to travel for work and we are working long days outside without an office. Hank and I usually end up setting up inside the pickup cab, but that can get hot and uncomfortable. We may not be working inside the shade tent but it will be so nice for Hank to have.
