Yoga pants, but for winter. The new Women’s Polartec High Loft Pants by Mountain Hardwear are such a staple that’s been added to my wardrobe. For van-living or camping, the High Loft Pants are an absolute must and if there’s any chance that the temp dips below 50º you can be sure I am not leaving home without these. Not only are the Polartec High Loft Pants extremely warm, but they’re also super comfortable, nicely fitting, and made to last.
First, I was a little hesitant when ordering the Polartec High Loft Pants because I wasn’t sure how they would fit. I have the MH Dynama Pant in a size medium so I decided to go with that (I’m 5’10, 150lbs and typically wear a size 8 in pants). The fit is so spot on and perfect and I honestly was surprised how flattering these are. I figured for a fleece pant, they weren’t going to be cute or flattering at all but that’s not the case! They’re similar to wearing leggings but just a little bit thicker.
The pants are made up mostly of classic Polartec High Loft fleece fabric but have Polartec Power Stretch panels in the knees, pockets and cuffs. I like how the cuffs are a bit tighter, giving these a jogger fit and feel. The hand pockets are also zip closures which I dig for an outdoor pant.
The only thing that would make these pants better is if I had a full body suit. I’d be ready to conquer even the coldest of days. I’ll also say, be sure you know the scope of the adventure you’re heading out on when you wear these pants out of the van in the morning. We woke up to a very cold morning recently and I decided to continue wearing these when we went out for our morning hike. I overheated quickly and my crotch and legs were very very warm. I’m not complaining, as I’d rather be hot than cold.
The Polartec High Loft Fleece Pants by Mountain Hardwear are an absolute must have if you live in or frequent colder climates. They’re perfect for lounging, van-living, but also outdoor activities where you need warm layers. These are easy to move in and could easily be worn under coveralls or ski pants. If you’re ready to bring your warm layer game up a notch, look no further than the Polartec High Loft Fleece Pants by Mountain Hardwear. If you’re interested in purchasing these fleece pants, doing so using our provided link supports us as we get a small kickback from your purchase. We appreciate the support!
*We received these pants for free in exchange for a review, however, it’s important to know that all thoughts are our own.
