The Mountain Explorer Kit by Adventure Medical Kits + Customizations! [Review]

Medical kits are integral pieces to any gear set that are often forgotten about, that is, until someone is injured on the trail. It’s a piece to the puzzle that we’ve worked to fit into almost everything we do. Whether it’s on the motos, skiing in the backcounty, or camping in remote areas for extended periods time, we try to always have some sort of medical kit with us. Fortunately, this winter when Cally broke her hand, we were skiing at the resort. Had we been in the backcountry, accessed by snowmobiles, it would’ve been a different story.
What we love about the Mountain Explorer Kit is that it’s a little bit smaller and more compact, perfect for groups from 1-4 people for up to 7 days, and is easy to add on to if you need or desire something specific. While this kit is comprehensive and well thought-out, we ordered a few extra supplies to add to our safety/supply drawer.
The Mountain Explorer Kit (as are most Adventure Medical Kit kits) is so well organized and easy for anyone to use. The pack that this kit comes in is equally as beneficial and imperative as some of the included supplies. Not only is the kit organized into different compartments that are labeled; there is a full list and diagram that points out where everything is. It makes finding what you need fast and easy and if you’ve ever been in a medical emergency situation, you know how important time is. We love how much effort AMK put into the organization of the kit alone.
