Bon Jovi | Amazing Concert at USF Sun Dome | Personal Favourite | New Remaster | Tampa 1995

Just like with one or two other shows that are very personal to me (one being Munich 2003 as probably everyone here knows by now), I go back to the recordings from time to time to see if grown experience and advanced technical possibilites give me the chance to get a bit more quality out of the recordings.
With this one, I initially just wanted to use the 2019 files to do a "premiere only", simply because it's one of the shows I want the community to experience together. More out of curiosity, I played around a bit with it and actually found what I believe to be quite a bit of an improvement. The sound is better balanced and "breathes" more if you will whereas some dullness had always held it back. Certainly not up there with the best recording from that era, but quite decent I'd say :)
The beginning is a bit distorted but it's been the case every since the recording came around in the late 90's, so I assume it was due to the original mastering or to the sound level at the show.
The show itself - well, I think most of us had listened to it at least once, I probably have done so 50+ times. There's just something about it - Jon's vocals, Richie's inspired playing, the whole band just clicking - the night created an intensity that was rarely matched (at least if you're a fan of the These Days album). Of course, there were single performances one might rate higher: These Days in Johannesburg, Lie To Me in Deer Creek, This Ain't A Love Song at certain other US shows or in Europe 1996, Damned in Sao Paulo, Hey God at the MTV Awards. But the combination of all of them near their pinnacle makes this one a stand out show for me and certainly one you shouldn't miss ;)
