Bon Jovi | Legendary Concert at Hallenstadion | Zurich 1989

Another long forgotten one has been brought back to life! The tape was very thin, squeaky and ear-piercing, paired with noise. By inverting a channel and then radically "thickening" the lower end, I got a bit of the proper concert feel back. It's certainly not great and some of the high-end distortions plus, well, signs of a cassette 35 years old are audible. But I think it's a decent listen and worth at least giving it one go. Near the end, the audio gets thinner and the hiss starts to climb as the batteries fade, but you know about those characteristics by now.
The band was roughly 200 shows into the tour as they hit Europe for the second time (this was show #212) and the exhaustion is even palpable through an audio that old. Jon's speeches grew more delusional and bittersweet, verging on sarcasm as they continued to perform like heroes besides all of that! So many nuances are just brilliant here with Living In Sin being one of the best renditions ever! Jon even changes the style of his screams a bit throughout! And the real shock came as the encore started and the band "reproduced" MTV magic by playing the acoustic rendition of Livin' On A Prayer!
