Tiny Seal with Painful Cut

Naude and Denzil from Ocean Conservation Namibia could clearly see from far off that this particular little seal needed urgent help.
He was lying near the water, and they could see that he had a very deep cut all along the bottom of his chest. They ran in along the beach, and Naude managed to secure him by hand before he could reach the water.
The massive cut was caused by a thin piece of fishing line. It must have been around his chest for a while, as there was a large triangular would on his should that had healed up already. The good thing was the the wound was surprisingly clean, and along with the healing properties of the salt water, this little Cape Fur Seal should make a swift, full recovery.
