Replacing A Blocked Sewer Line And Reconnecting A Toilet - Plumbdog Plumbing Perth

In this video our Plumbdoggie James is called out to a property where others had carried out some investigation works on a blocked toilet. The client contacted us because she had received a quote from another company and thought the quote she received was excessive and so she sought a second opinion.

James attended the property and carried out his checks and agreed that the quoted works were indeed needed and provided the client with our quote for the works, to which the client was elated because our price was less than half what the others had quoted her.

James having won the clients trust, got to work straight away in removing her toilet, replacing the blocked section of pipework from underneath the toilet and connected to her sewer main whist also installing a PVC threaded access for future cleaning as per regulations and also re-connected the vent pipe.

James then re-installed the toilet, carried out his tests to ensure the toilet was flushing correctly and free from leaks, cleaned up the property cleaner than when he arrived (Plumbdog policy).

[0:20] The Old Earthenware Line – earthenware pipes are generally older pipes which were commonly used throughout Australia. These pipes are made from clay or terracotta and as you can see at this property, was used throughout.

[1:00] The Toilet Removed – After the toilet is carefully removed, James shows us the old line there which was to be removed along with the blockage.

[1:40] Removing The Old Line – James removes the old line and prepares to install the new pipes.

[2:10] Getting Under The House – Our Plumbdogs are not afraid to get their paws dirty. From running in the backyard to inside the house, at this property, James also has to get under the house to install and get a good clean run from the toilet to the main line.

[2:30] Installing New Riser – When preparations are complete, it’s time to get everything connected. James gives us a good run down of what needs to be done.

[3:00] Testing – When the job’s done, we always test to make sure everything is in good working order for our customer before tidying up.

Another job well done. James deserves a belly rub for this one. Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoyed the video. Don’t forget to give us a LIKE and SHARE and also SUBSRIBE if you haven’t already to stay up to date with our latest videos!
