How To Locate And Repair A Burst Water Pipe By Plumbdog Plumbing

Here’s another video on how to look for a burst water pipe.
Plumbdog sends Richard to investigate a water leak. The customer reports hearing the sound of running water near the laundry and bathroom area. He also said that he was able to identify that it was the hot water pipeline that’s causing the trouble.

With the information that the customer provided, Richard checks the water metre and confirms the
leak. Richard used one of our state-of-the-art equipment, the thermal imaging infrared scanner. He will turn on the hot water, and the scanner will detect the heat coming from the pipes. Then the scanner can sniff out the source of the leak. As Richard approached the laundry area near one of the drainages, he found a spot where it showed a sizable amount of heat. After a bit of digging, he finds a burst pipe that was causing the trouble. Our gears never fail us when it comes to accuracy, and that’s not even half a day’s work!

Upon close inspection, there’s a pinhole that is causing the problem. He cuts the damaged pipe and measures a brand-new one. He welds it in and tests the completed pipeline. To make sure that there’s only one leak in the property he checks the water metre and finally confirms that the leak has been solved.

Richard, a report will be completed and submitted on behalf of the customer. The Water Corp will
assess the credit for the lost water charges based on the usage from the previous months. If the
