Blocked Toilet Caused By Toilet Freshener

In todays video, our Plumbdog Rhyse gets called out to sniff out the problem behind a blocked toilet. After some initial investigation, Rhyse suspects that the issue was related to an obstruction in the drainage system and would you believe, he’s come across another property where the inspection opening was buried deep underground below tiles and dirt. That’s no problems for a Plumbdog, getting our paws dirty is what we do best, especially when we’re digging!

[0:10] BURRIED INSPECTION POINT – Check out the inspection opening well under ground. Would you believe they had the dry floor waste pipes raised above ground but neglected the plumbing. With the inspection point now accessible, Rhyse is now able to use his CCTV equipment to identify the problem.
[0:32] THE CULPRIT – A toilet freshener cage! How can something supposed to help become such a hinderance?
[0:43] DON’T STICK THINGS INSIDE YOUR TOILET PANS – We find all sorts of interesting objects flushed down drains. Sometimes the kids or puppies like to see where toys and other objects go. Would you believe this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a toilet freshener causing issues. Even though these ones are designed to clip onto the side of your toilet bowl, they can slip off for various reasons.
